InvestHK's Hong Kong Fintech Week 2022 was the first event in Hong Kong post covid, and showcased to the world that Hong Kong was starting its process of opening to the world. Braeside believes in serving its local communities, and on the road to recovery post Covid, decided to help plan activities for foreign guests.

"Hong Kong Fintech week was an opportunity to show the outside world that Hong Kong is open for business. Braeside, Google Cloud, and Ascent Fund Administration certainly welcomed our guests with open arms, and we hope to continue to do so and show that Hong Kong is indeed Asia's World City and is back for business."

King Leung- Hong Kong Invest

Lorenzo Antonio Iosco, an Italian clarinetist and conductor based in Hong Kong where he is a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, opened the event to musical pieces including New York. Counterpoint.  Vivienne Tam, the dinner's guest of honor, debuted her metaverse collection, a first in Asia.

Subsequently, Braeside, in conjunction with sponsors Google Cloud and Ascent fund administration, organized an official HK Fintech week after event for the fintech communities at the first ever private club for the crypto community.  The after party was massively oversubscribed with over 150 RSVPs and representation across not just the fintech but larger tech community.

"Despite the less welcoming weather, the event was a total success in terms of turn up and the very diversed crowd. Google cloud is proud to support investors, entrepreneurs and other ecosystem players developing web3 as well as how Hong Kong can play an instrumental role in it. Can’t wait for the next one!"

Warren Li - Google Cloud

"We are proud to have worked with Google again organizing a community event. We have four years a relationship, and this is our first collaboration after Covid, and I couldn't be more thrilled to do it with our old friends"

Tak Lo - Braeside

"We are honored to sponsor a community event during HK fintech week to celebrate the spirit of HK. It was a great event where we had ClubDAO provide a fantastic venue, and Braeside organised the plan. A good crowd of industry friends ending up very much enjoying the night"

Davey Kong
